Jana Sena MP's Son Booked for Fatal Aston Martin Crash Near Inorbit Mall in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: The Madhapur Police have booked Lingamaneni Sanjush, son of Jana Sena Party Rajya Sabha MP Lingamaneni Ramesh, following a fatal road accident involving a high-speed Aston Martin that claimed the life of a 26-year-old woman near Inorbit Mall in Madhapur on August 16.

The victim, identified as Bharati Mukhi, a sales executive at a Lifestyle store inside the mall, was struck while crossing the road during her break. The incident has drawn widespread public attention after police proceedings confirmed the driver's identity.

Sequence of Events and Police Proceedings

According to the First Information Report (FIR) lodged at the Madhapur Police Station by the store manager, the fatal collision occurred at approximately 3:00 PM on August 16:

• Bharati Mukhi and a colleague were returning toward Inorbit Mall after collecting lunch from a nearby establishment when an Aston Martin bearing registration number TG-09-G-0666, allegedly driven at high speed and in a negligent manner, struck her.
• The victim suffered severe head injuries and was transported to Apollo Hospital in Jubilee Hills in the same vehicle, where medical personnel pronounced her brought dead.
• Following preliminary inquiries and review of local surveillance, police identified 21-year-old Lingamaneni Sanjush as the driver. Police issued formal notices to the accused to participate in the ongoing investigation.

Statutory Offenses and Legal Provisions

The Madhapur Police have registered a case under relevant statutory provisions governing rash and negligent driving:

• The FIR cites Section 106(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023, which deals with causing death by a rash or negligent act not amounting to culpable homicide.
• Section 106(1) carries a maximum sentence of up to five years imprisonment along with a fine. Police confirmed that as the maximum punishment under the section is under seven years, the offense remains bailable under procedural rules.
• Official records indicate that the Aston Martin involved in the crash is registered under Honor Prime Housing LLP.

"Police have issued formal notices to the accused and are investigating all aspects of the collision, including vehicle registration details and forensic crash data," confirmed Madhapur law enforcement officials.
